7-8: Moving up to Next Year
Rising 7th and 8th Grade Families are invited! Moving up to Next Year is an event for rising 7th and 8th Grade Students and Families for GMS Staff to discuss the upcoming year with specific focus on standards and courses. Join us Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 8:30 AM or 5:30 PM in the GMS Media Center. This is a Title I Family Engagement Event, and all families are invited to attend.
Course Sign Up
In February 2026, GMS will share the Course Sign Up form. Families will use this form to identify preferences for certain courses for the 2026 - 2027 school year. For example, 6th and 7th Grade students may wish to sign up for Chorus, Orchestra, and/or Band. 8th Grade students may wish to sign up for high school courses like Health and Personal Fitness, Spanish I, and/or Algebra.
