Free online tutoring for ESOL students – February 2

Workshop to introduce girls to nontraditional career options
GICCA will host its first “This Girl Can” workshop for eighth and ninth-grade female students. The workshop aims to introduce female students to nontraditional careers for women.

Free breakfast, lunch through 2020-21 school year
Thanks to now-approved waivers under the Seamless Summer Option guidelines, all students in the Glynn County School System will continue to receive breakfast, lunch and after-school snacks at no charge through the end of June 2021.

Meal Service for Virtual Learners
Parents will be required to submit meal orders online weekly by 12 p.m. on Mondays. Meals will be distributed every Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Brunswick High School bus ramp.

Breakfast, lunch free for all students thanks to USDA extension
Effective immediately, all students in the Glynn County School System will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge, regardless of the child’s current free/reduced eligibility.

January Student of the Month- Shanice Randall

This wonderful hurricane has been selected as the GMS November Katz-Whittle Golden Rule Student of the Month! Students who have been selected for this Golden Rule Law of Life Character Award display qualities such as showing respect for others, self control, patience, and displaying honesty, kindness, compassion, generosity, cooperation, and patriotism. She will receive an award certificate, a T-shirt, a cash award of $50, her name engraved on the large plaque displayed in the school hallway, a bumper sticker, and an additional cash award of $50 at the end-of-year celebration.
Glynn Middle Spelling Bee Winner

Congratulations to Jordin Hakim, the Glynn Middle School Spelling Bee winner. Jordin is a 7th grade student at GMS and she will compete at the county Spelling Bee on January 11, 2021 at the BHS auditorium at 6:00 pm.
