Awards
The following awards are presented at our annual Honors Night in May. Students who are receiving awards will receive an invitation a week prior to the ceremony.
Academic Excellence Award - An eighth grade award given to students who earned all "A's" for every subject in 6th and 7th grade, plus the first semester and 3rd nine weeks in eighth grade.
Principal's Honor Roll - This award is given to 6th, 7th , and 8th grade students who earned all "A's" for the first semester and the 3rd nine weeks in every subject.
Honor Roll - This award is given to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who earned all "A's and B's" for the first semester and the third nine weeks in every subject.
Presidential Award for Educational Excellence - This award is presented to 8th grade students who have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and an 85% or higher on the Reading or Math total on the ITBS.
Presidential Award for Educational Achievement - This award is presented to 8th grade students who have shown significant growth in academic subjects despite obstacles, but not meeting the criteria for the Educational Excellence Award.
Citizenship Award - One student per team who is consistently responsible, has a good work ethic, and has an exemplary attitude.
Perfect Attendance - Presented to students that have no absences, tardies or early checkouts for the school year. Students that have accomplished this for all three years of middle school will recieve a special award.
Highest G.P.A. - The student with the highest grade point average in each grade level will receive this award.
